Riftbound · booster box value
Rip or hold
What the cards in an average booster box are worth, compared with what the box sells for. Over 100% means the cards are worth more than the box.
Heads up: many Flesh and Blood cards have hidden hit rates with multiple levels of short printing, which makes calculating EV very hard. Treat these numbers as rough estimates.
Booster boxes
How it’s calculated
- Rates: Riot’s published pull rates per box: Signature 1 in 30, Overnumbered 1 in 3, 2 champion Alt Arts, 1 Alt Art rune, 6 Epics, 40 Rares, plus the Ultimate rate. Unleashed’s Baron Nashor uses Riot’s maximum rate (under 0.1% of packs), so Unleashed may read high.
- Counted: those cards plus about 20 foils a box (13 commons, 6 uncommons, 1 battlefield). Not counted: regular commons and uncommons.
- Prices: the TCGplayer low (Near Mint, without shipping) for every card and for the box. A card with no Near Mint listing that day keeps its last known low. Signatures and Ultimates included. The chart starts on Oct 25, 2026, the first day lows were recorded.
- It swings: this is an average across many boxes. Any single box can land well above or below it.
How Sorcery is calculated
- Rates: the publisher doesn’t post pull rates, so they come from box-opening trackers: Beta (36 packs a box, 195 boxes), Arthurian Legends (24 packs, 98 boxes) and Gothic (36 packs, 74 boxes).
- Counted: Uniques, Elites and every foil, avatars included. Not counted: regular Ordinaries and Exceptionals. Foil Uniques in Arthurian Legends and Gothic are set 10% below the trackers to stay conservative.
- Prices: the TCGplayer low (Near Mint, without shipping) for every card and for the box. A card with no Near Mint listing that day keeps its last known low.
- It swings: Sorcery boxes vary a lot, so any single box can land well above or below the average.
Set-by-set details
- Beta: each pack has 11 Ordinaries, 3 Exceptionals and 1 Elite or Unique, and a foil replaces an Ordinary. Per box about 7 Uniques and 29 Elites (from a 100-box opening shared on r/SorceryTCG) and 9 foils: 3.2 Ordinary, 3.4 Exceptional, 1.6 Elite and 0.75 Unique.
- Arthurian Legends: about 4.5 Uniques and 6 foils a box: 2.54 Ordinary, 2.14 Exceptional, 0.86 Elite and 0.48 Unique. 16 Knights (15 Sirs and Dame Britomart) are labeled Unique but pull at the Elite rate, so they count as Elites. Galahad, Gareth, Lancelot, Mordred, Pellinore and Yvain stay Unique.
- Gothic: about 7.4 Uniques and 7.3 foils a box: 1.66 Ordinary, 4.19 Exceptional, 0.99 Elite and 0.45 Unique. Curios are too rare to count.
How Cyberpunk is calculated
- Rates: WeirdCo’s published rates. Each 12-card pack has 2 Rare-or-better cards: about 1 Epic per 4 packs, 1 Iconic per 18 and 1 Secret per 24. A Beta box (36 packs) has about 9 Epics, 2 Iconics and 1.5 Secrets; a Retail box (24 packs) 6, 1.3 and 1.
- Counted: Epics, Secrets and Iconics. Not counted: Commons, Uncommons, Box Toppers and Rares. Rares are bulk, mostly sold in lots by bulk sellers, and are shown greyed out in the breakdown.
- Legends count less: an estimate, since WeirdCo hasn’t published a rate per card. A Legend is 3 times harder to hit than other cards of its rarity, and an Iconic Secret 9 times harder than a plain Iconic.
- Prices: the TCGplayer low (Near Mint, without shipping) for every card and for the box. A card with no Near Mint listing that day keeps its last known low. Lows are recorded from Oct 27, 2026, so the chart starts there.
- It swings: one Iconic Secret changes a box by about $1,000, so most boxes land well below the average and a few far above it.
Legend and Iconic details
- Legends: 21 in the set (16 Rare, 3 Epic and 2 Secret, plus their Iconic alt arts). They’re fewer, and a deck uses 1 copy of each Legend but up to 3 of other cards, so they’re harder to pull. Each counts a third as much as another card of its rarity in the average. Legends are identified by the card type on TCGplayer.
- Iconic tiers: Iconics that aren’t Legends (9 cards), Iconic Legends (18 cards, 3 times harder) and the 4 Iconic Secret Rares, which share one rate, another 3 times harder. They sell for about $1,000 each, so even at that weight they carry much of the value.
- Every other card of a rarity is equally likely. Every other Rare-or-better slot is a Rare: about 59 a Beta box and 39 a Retail box.
How Flesh and Blood is calculated
- Rates: LSS’s published pull rates for each set (24 packs a box, 12 for Mastery Packs). Super Slam, Rosetta, The Hunted and Part the Mistveil use real hit counts from big openers (800 to 2,400 boxes) for their top cards. Sets marked est. (Usurp the Shadow Throne through Uprising) are simulated from LSS’s rates and the opened boxes, and can be 5 to 15 points off.
- Counted: Majestics and up (plus Super Rares), Cold Foils, Extended Arts and Marvels. Not counted: Commons, Rares, Basics, and Rainbow Foil Rares and Commons. They’re bulk, mostly sold in lots by bulk sellers, and are shown greyed out in the breakdown.
- Harder cards count less: Cold Foils come in the same rarity mix as regular cards, so most are Commons. Extended Arts (1 in 8 to 1 in 12 boxes) and Marvels (1 in 3 to 1 in 5 boxes) get their own lines. Each Marvel is weighted by how many copies are listed, so scarce chase Marvels count less.
- It swings: one $1,000+ Marvel or Fabled moves the average. Most boxes land below it.
Set-by-set details
- Compendium of Rathe: 3 Cold Foils a box (1 per 8 packs), split between Majestics and Rares like the regular packs; Marvels 1 per 96 packs; Extended Art Majestics 1 in 6 boxes. Plus 1 Antiquity pack a box: Fabled 1 per 45 packs, Rainbow Foil Legendary 1 per 20, a Majestic (Cold Foil 1 time in 8), a Gold Rare in every pack and the Gold Marvel (Enlightened Strike Extended Art) 1 per 800 packs. Puzzle pieces and the regular packs’ Rainbow Foil Fableds (no published rate) aren’t counted.
- Mastery Packs (12 packs a box): Guardian has a Majestic 1 per 4 packs, Rainbow Foils 7 per 24 packs (Legendary 1 per 105, Majestic 1 per 24, Rare 1 per 12, Common 1 per 6) and a Cold Foil 1 per 36 packs. From opening experience: a Legendary about 1 in 8 boxes, an Extended Art 1 in 4 and a Marvel 1 in 8. Warrior has the same Legendary rate, a Marvel 1 in 4 boxes and an Extended Art 1 in 8. Art cards aren’t counted.
- Opener-count sets: Super Slam (2,000 boxes), Rosetta (800), The Hunted (1,200) and Part the Mistveil (2,400, JPN and BLG prints together). Their Cold Foils, Marvels, Fableds, Legendaries and Extended Arts are counted card by card from the hits; each group is priced at the average low of its cards. Regular Majestics, Super Rares and the other Rainbow Foils use LSS’s rates.
- Cold Foils elsewhere: each card is weighted by how often its regular version is pulled; Legendaries are scaled from the Rainbow Foil Legendary rate. Cold Foil Majestics are about 1 in 6 boxes, more in sets with many of them (Omens and Compendium about 1 in 3).
- Marvels elsewhere: the rate scales with how many the set has, from 1 in 5 boxes (Omens 12, Super Slam 14) to 1 in 3 (Usurp 27). Compendium (1 per 96 packs) and Part the Mistveil (1 per 100) use LSS’s stated rates. TCGplayer stops counting listings at 25, so past that the count is estimated from price: a capped Marvel at a quarter of the price of the cheapest uncapped one counts as about 50. Marvels with no listings aren’t counted. Where there are opener counts, and in Mastery Packs, Marvels are split into tiers instead, each 3 times harder to hit than the one above, down to a one-in-a-lottery card.
- Hidden Usurp Marvels: TCGplayer lists 9 of Usurp’s hardest Marvels under Omens (the 7 Runechants, Baalghor and Gate to i'Arathael). They count in Usurp as one small lottery pool, about 1 in 330 boxes, with Baalghor and the Gate 3 times harder than a Runechant. Usurp’s Blasmophet isn’t counted.
- Extended Arts are weighted by their base card’s rarity: an Extended Art Common turns up far more often than an Extended Art Majestic or Legendary.
